Dear Isabelle users,
approx. 10 days before Isabelle2026 will become final and unchangeable, we
have another release candidate: Isabelle2026-RC4. See also
https://sketis.net/2026/release-candidates-for-isabelle2026 for details.
Everything is finished from my side, which means the release windows is about
to close very soon.
The main Isabelle website is
https://isabelle.in.tum.de/website-Isabelle2026-RC4 and regular AFP is
https://foss.heptapod.net/isa-afp/afp-2026
Any feedback about Isabelle release candidates should be posted with a
meaningful Mail subject, not just a clone of this announcement.

There is been no further activity on this thread, so I am assuming that
everything is fine, according to the social contract behind Isabelle releases
(since 2008):
* The overall quality of the system becomes gradually better.
* Serious regressions that were recently introduced have been addressed.
Consequently, I will produce the final and unchangeable Isabelle2026 release
in approx. 12h, but it will take 1-2 days afterwards to get everything
synchronized and published.
Unless, someone presents new problems that justify to postpone the final
release, e.g. for 1 week.
Reminder: Isabelle has a linear release model, without "hotfixes" nor
"patches". Instead there will be eventually another regular release, at a
distance of 8-10 months.
